Computing for Instruction

Computing for Instruction

Academic use of Mississippi State’s computing resources includes:

  • Faculty use for instruction, faculty professional development, scholarship, and general exploratory use.
  • Undergraduate, graduate, and post-doctoral student use for classroom learning, homework, and classroom projects; special approved projects; and general exploratory use.
  • Librarian and library patron use within the physical context of a library lab.

MSU is currently in the process of installing a high-performance, GPU-based computing cluster that will be available as a shared resource for use by students and faculty.

Data Science students at MSU learn to configure a personal laptop for basic data analysis tasks and to access cloud, high-performance, and quantum computing resources necessary to extend the power of their analysis.
